I am getting some loud static from my bose system while the ST light flickers on and off. When the ST light is off, the radio plays fine but when the light comes on there is loud static from the speakers. I know this light indicates that the radio signal is strong and the radio is in stereo mode. The light still flickers on and off when i unplug the antenna cable. Tapes play fine. Any ideas? I am pretty sure it is something loose in the head unit.

 

One more thing, it works fine for a few minutes if i smack it or slam the cup holder door shut. any ideas?... didnt think so... i think im gonna go digging around in the head unit with a soldering iron.
