jeremy indicated to me that it's possible that the car's VIN was printed somewhere on the engine, as well as the engine serial itself. I recently found my engine serial, so that's not an issue.

Does anyone know where, if at all existant, this engine-stamped VIN would be?

 

According to the FSM, there is only one number stamped on the engine and trans and thats their respective serial numbers.

yes there was.

 

there was, and it was by me, but it was about the engine serial. someone told me that they also stamp the CAR's serial (VIN) on the engine when engine and car are united. I already found my engine serial number, but a well-respected member of the org said that there may be a VIN stamped onto the block at the time of installation into the engine bay of the car.
