psh, that's nothing like how hard i was raped for my car. A 1990 GXE with 143k, bought in June 2006 for $3000 in Raleigh NC. Yeah i dropped the soap on that one. But that's what happens when your mom freaks out and demands that you buy a "normal car" and the only normal car you are willing to buy is one that is rare in the area (maximas in general. this was the cheapest maxima around). The only other thing i was looking at was domestic RWD coupes (camaro, mustang, etc)

man you guys complain alot about prices on the maxima's dont you lolz. i spent $2000 on buying mine and as did my friend. the 92-93 blue book for around $5100 around here in Washington as said by the DOL when i went to try to get my car title transfered and the previous owner didnt fill out the title correctly and they said the blue book was $5100 for my 93 se 5 speed. so i wouldnt really complain in price but then again he spent $2 grand on a 90 VG30E which i can understand about that price on that year maxima.

no scratchs what so ever,it has the typical dried out leather right in front the rear speakers where the sun beat the crap out of it through the years. my only gripe about the car is that the moron that had the car before us literaly butchered the wiring harnness for the stereo, the alpine thats in the pic is my old one out of my old 88 acura legend (yes i've owned a honda product a good smackin should do) its not hooked up. i put it in there just to hide the wires. from what she (my wife) told me she came in with 2 stacks in her pocket test drove it. and then proceeded to talk the guy down. it went from 2 to 18 to 15. number one the trunk did'nt open, and the driverside seatbelt does'nt go forward when the cars off and the doors open.and the reverse lights dont work.So after the dealer took a 500 dollar lose all the stuff listed above got fixed free.Same thing with her J30 list price was 5100 she got it for 4000.I dont have to worry about when she buys a car. thats one the reasons why i married her, cause i dont have to worry about her being takin advantage of

The last time I checked the private party kbb on mine was over $3000.

That car looks to be in pretty good shape, so I assume he picked it up near the kbb.

It is somewhat hard to find a manual trans, so I don't see a problem paying a little extra for an SE 5-speed in better condition than most. However, if you were getting a autotragic GXE, I think you should pick one up a lot cheaper, unless it has receipts for a lot of things (like a brand new transmission and a T-belt change).

my friends se had a butt load of problems and also was asking way to much for the whole list of problems i had found on his car. we where able to get it down to 2000 plus 8 hundred and title tag and registration for his old eclipse he traded in. tranny on the eclipse was starting to slip. and he wanted something with a 5 speed and more room. and had ridin in my maxima before and liked how it was. So i told him i would help him find a maxima and we did its a 1992 Nissan Maxima SE pearl white with white leather interior and electronic seat adjustments. The leather is cracked to hell but o well. he plans to just have the two front seats redone in regualr car upolestry will prolbably switch out his rear seat for the cloth seat instead as wll. H

is car had no reverse lights, sunroof doesnt open, driver side rear doesnt roll down or up(has a hacksaw blade bent in a reverse S form to hold window up), ticking VTC's, spoiler isnt seated down all that well, light rust on the area where the spoiler is, cracking paint on spoiler, paint scratched on bumper, passenger side control arm bushing shot to crap (from motor & P/S fliud), leaking rear head cover gasket, cracked coil on plugs, no antenna, leaking power steering rack & pinion, a few broken interior trim pieces, power door locks dont always work when trying to use the switch or pushing down the driver or passenger front door lock button.

I think thats about it for now that i can actually remember. as for all the problems with the car he bought we have addresses some of them and got them fixed but not all. so far we just grounded down the VTC's untill we rebuild the motor here soon. The i figured out what was wrong with his reverse lights not working. Someone had unpluged the senor from the transmission to the ECU. plugged that back in and fixed that problem. replaced spark plugs with NGK iriduim IX and did a oil change with engine flush to clean out all the crap the engine might of had from the previous owner and not maintaining a high maintenance of there car. and then his alternator pooped on him so we replaced that as well.

yeah a 94 VE-5 with standard equipment and 120k blue-books in my ZIP Code at $3040. My car is this (90 GXE 157k)
Excellent $2,165
Good $1,860
Fair $1,480
due to factors currently outside my control, my car is between 'good' and 'fair'. Well some factors were in my control, like spilling crap on the seats... but alot of it was mechanical stuff that I didn't know about when I bought it, that I know about now, and know how to fix now, just don't have the parts to do it yet.

yeah i know i havent went in and erased it using photoshop like the rest of my pics i posted. its alright i have been setting up his car it wont be stolen. most people on here just blank out plates because they think others will try finding there car and stealing it or parts out of it. my friends VE 92 is still stock nothing worth stealing from it anyways. and soon ill be installing a compustar alarm in his max for him. same one i am running myself in my 93 max VE.

sounds like my old Blazer. my brother had wet dos in the thing and his friends dog puked in it while going down LSD. you could literally smell the stench OUTSIDE the car,
