click when brake

This is for people who've had a clicking/knocking/ noise-that-sounds-like-a-tire-jack rhythmically-bouncing-in-the-back-of-the-car-while braking noise. I had this, and I just had to have the drums replaced on my '94 Maxima. The drum on the driver's side had a flat spot that was rubbing/catching..whatever. Note: when one drum goes, they both go. I got it done at pep boys and, though they are terrible service people at least in kalamazoo, it was 20 cheaper than other places around here. just make sure you tell them to put all of the parts that were replaced into the trunk of the car for you to see!! Notorious for this stuff (even have a website).

Also, just in case you didn't know...if your brake area is at all showing moisture on the inside, it's time to replace the master cylinder. More than one person told me that when this happens "you gotta just get all of it replaced." Shoes, pads, everything. If I am lying on this, someone say so.

Great site.
