Lug Bolts

Anyone here ever converted there lug nuts to lug bolts? I got a good deal on some rims and tires but i just realized that they came with lug bolts. Problem is that i can't put the lug nuts on because the wholes are too small. Any suggestions?

well the holes on the hub are not threaded, rather, cogged. so you should probably get the holes on the rims enlarged, as long as the pattern is the same size with respect to the centers of the lugs, and the centers of the too-small holes

No. Get new/good lug nuts and they should work. Always test fit used rims/tires before you buy them....

If the the holes for the lugs are tiny, you'll probubly need 'tuner lugs' they are a more slim design.

What kind of wheel is this???? You may have some problems if it come off a car with bolts.

dunno if it helps, but my lug nut holes are too small to accept an impact socket or lug wrench, so i have to use a spark plug socket, and it barely fits.

i just figured out what he was talking about. damn i'm dumb. i thought he meant that the lug holes were smaller diameter than the wheel studs aaaaaanyways.

I wish this was the case but even my lug nots are too big lol. I am going to call around to see if they have any of those "tuner lug nuts" anywhere round me.

12mm X 1.25 I think...... Be sure to buy ones that have an INSIDE spline and key, not an outside one. Otherwise, your socket will scratch up your wheels while you're trying to tighten your lug-nuts. You can buy them at autozone but I wouldn't reccomend it because they rust. Get a black anodized steel set and you'll be happy.

You want THIS: VVVVVVVVVVVVVVV__NOT this: VVVVVVVVVV

Also, autocross racing does not allow closed ended lug nuts, so you wouldn't be able to compete with the ones on the right.

which may or may not be an issue to you, if you have the centercap for all the wheels. it wouldnt bother me personally, but i could understand why it would bother others.
