My stereo and amp got stolen out of my car this week. Someone broke the window and just jumped in, took what they wanted then left. The thing that ****es me off even more is they also stole my cup holder,brackets and bent teh crap out of my back seat while pulling it forward
If anyone has extra brackets or a cut holder id really apreciate it if you would let me know. thanks. apparetly the didnt like my maxima.org sticker either they peeled off half the x heres some pics of the damage:

The first time my car was sitting in the drive way and at about 4:30 am on a Saturday I heard the alarm go off. They had broke the driver side window. It sucked but they didnt get away with anything. The second time was this summer in daylight 15 minutes before I was about to get off of work. I got a call to the front of the store and my boss was like you have blue maxima right? Of course I was like yes and he goes well come with me and I was like damn it because I knew what had happened. I kept on leaving my faceplate because I was being stupid. This time they broke into the passenger side window and even tried to get in with a screwdriver through the door locks first. They ripped my dash like yours but only got off with my faceplate because they didnt know what they were doing. It sucked it was a good Clarion cd player my first that had been in the maxima for 2 years. It cost like $400 dollars but Thank God for full coverage. Know I have a alpine cd player that kicks ***.

Dude I still cringe when I see your car's pictures, that was such a nice max too! What the hell did those guys do to it?! And why would a stock alarm not be good? It'll do just about the same thing as an aftermarket alarm. Alarms in general just aren't perfect because some thieves don't care if the alarm goes off.

 

Well, one thing that comes to mind is that it doesn't have any shock sensor, so bumping/smashing into the car won't do anything. I'm not going to bother with an alarm despite this (something I kinda wanted) because unless you want to set up a backup battery, a pair of cutters will kill a screaming alarm in under 10 seconds.

 

you know what would be great ,when they break in and you have an alarm with sirens inside so loud they cant bear it cuz it hurts and makes their ears bleed and you get electricuted when you touch the radio

 

LOL! I'm all for that! Kinda like this TV ad for a car security system in Robocop or Robocop 2 where the thief sits in the car and gets strapped in and electrocuted!

Seriously though I like that interior siren idea... make it self-contained (power) and bolted to the firewall. Or better yet, set up one of those industrial size air-horns in a can!

 

In the 2001 Guiness Book of World Records (the hardback with pictures..) under "World's Most Dangerous Alarm" there is a system which shoots flames 5 feet from all directions if the shock sensor is activated! Now that's theft proof!
