this morning on my way home from work i go to crank my car and it went to start and right when it should of fired up it seemed weak for a good solid second. but then it started. not that I know what one would be like, but it almost seemed like the starter wasn't spinning as freely as it should, almost like some kind of drag on the motor turning.

just went outside and tried to start it up. same thing. seems like the motor is almost seized making it lag for that good second before it starts up and runs fine.

Starter going bad? its optima redtop battery, rebuilt alternator 2-3 years ago.

do all the lights that should come on during startup come on? i know it sounds silly but seatbelt, door, CEL, etc. i wonder if it's possible that there's a short somewhere down the line, perhaps, in the auto seatbelt circuit?

try getting in, buckle up, shut the doors (as if you were driving basically), then turn the key to ON, let the fuel pump cycle off, THEN start it. then see if it lags then too.

o and marshall i LOVE your sig.
