Y-pipe question

I'm going to be changing my front pipe soon due to leaks. Now does the Y-pipe replace the front pipe and connect to the manifold?

Just replaced the Y-pipe on my GXE. The pipe goes from exhaust manifolds all the way to the catalytic converter. The flexible portion is part of it and that was leaking on mine.

y-pipe questions

If your gonna replace it check out WarpSpeedPerformance.com We have mandrel bent aluminized y-pips for $225 or non-mandrel for $195. Do a search. There really is a reason why most guys here have a y-pipe on. Its called, more h/p.

Did you guys lower your prices to be competitive with Budget Performance? Does your pipe have the "bees-in-the-can" sound? I have the T304 Budget pipe and it does exhibit the bees.. not horrible, but there.

You guys have pipes for 3rd, 4th and 5th gen + CA emissions?

I'm fully aware that a y-pipe adds this so called "hp"

I was just wondering if it was a simple switch with the front pipe.

Thanks for the info

look at my page under how-to and then Y-pipe

WSP y-pipes

Yes, we are looking for business, and we are trying very hard to earn it. Our pipes do not have the "bees in a can sound". Our non-mandrel prices have always been $195 + shipping. At this point we only offer 3rd and 4th Gen pipes. We have several pipes on 5th gen cars testing. They will be released in 2 weeks or less. Calif. to follow. Se «§»Craig B«§»e excellent pictoral review. His pipe is out of 409SS, we no longer use 409. Please call if you have questions.

This was a surprisingly easy install. The only problem I had was that becuase the pipe had bigger, it rubs against the stock y-pipe mounting bracket.

I used an electric hacksaw and sawed a portion of that bracket off, as indicated in my pics.
