gasket for IACV

I took off my IACV or idle control unit. on my VE auto. I looked on courtesyparts and schmucks for a gasket it for it, the one on there isn't in good shape. anyone know where to find one?

more im looking at it, it actually looks like maybe a gasket sealant? anyone know what to use so i can put it back on and not have air leaks?

you can get an IACV gasket through your local dealership. when i did mine it only cost $10.25 through the dealer. i didn't know part # so i just asked for the IACV gasket. in the following thread mikekantor lists the VE IACV gasket part # as 23785-97E00.

can I just use a silicone sealant?

Also would a bad Idle air control unit cause motor to have a constant high idle? screw is turned almost all the way clockwise, car fully warm, and idle is about 900. when i turn it a few turns counterclockwise, it jumps to 1600rpms idle. again fully warmed motor.
I thought idle with the screw almost full clockwise would be around 700rpm, and i didnt think just a few half turns counterclockwise would cause a jump to 1600rpm.

Yes. (Dont let it spread inside.)

Idle adjustment is done with ECU program III; see FSM EF&EC 29

gasket paper is what i had to use on my throttle body, because i couldn't get a gasket in time (VE parts are hard for me to find...)

and it worked just fine, i just cut it to fit (as perfect as i could get it) and then i used RTV on both sides, but will be removing it shortly to install my phenolic spacer kit (Thanks Aaron!)
