Back issue arrived

I bought the May issue of Sports Car International featuring the GT-R, there was an ad for back issues they still had available. I was surprised to see "Nissan Maxima" listed in under the Dec. 91 issue of SCI. So I of course ordered one which arrived today. I was hoping there would be a big picture on the cover but it's a Bugatti and Porsche, go figure

Anyway, I scanned the Maxima article but I sized it down.. I'm sure they still have some available if you want it in full quality, back issues are $10 shipped.

I was just going to ask... might I request a full size scan from you? If not here - in an email?

I wanted them to fit 2x2 on a widescreen LCD. Original scans have been resized and saved, just lower your resolutions

Nice find, I don't have that article. I have a couple of others, though. Not as much love for the VE in this one. The article says that a drag race between a manual VG and VE would be "interesting" although they made a VG 5-speed up until 92.

That is also a pretty crappy 1/4 mile time for the VE. 15.79. Most other magazines are at least .2 quicker than that.

Yeah they could have easily had a go if they were serious about it being interesting to them

But just remember "horsepower does not acceleration make"

Mine is still quiet at high speeds. It's quieter than my 2001 Infiniti.

When I had my first VE 5-speed (I bought it in 95 or 96?) it was uber quiet. Everyone who ever rode in it commented on that, even my friend with a brand new off the lot stock Acura Integra said my car was quiet.

do you have any quietness for sale? my car is NOIIIIIIIIIISY even at 35mph. like... once i hit 35mph the wind noise is as loud as my engine, and at 55mph, it's louder than my exhaust leak.

Mine probably has to do with the fact that my car has been garaged at least since 1999, maybe longer. The door seals seem to all be in good shape.

I think being quiet is mostly about seals and sound dampening. Mine is a little louder now that I took some insulation out of the trunk, but it doesn't have much wind noise.

Wiking is extreme, obviously, when it comes to isolating noisy areas and dampening them.

I got rid of ALL the squeals, groans and other noises with one simple mod. It was extremely expensive, but in the end it was WELL worth it

I divorced her.
