Right now I'm broke as a joke, but looking for a job. It just so happens I have a job interview in Chicago, my buddy is having a pre-wedding party in the suburbs on Saturday, and a friend from out-of-town will be in the area all in the same weekend that Maxus is being held. I was going to hitch a ride down with another friend, but if Maxus is being held...why not bring the ride with me?

I want to know who with a 3rd Gen will be there. I guess we didn't represent too hard last year (not that I was there .) Anyway, I've got to see what I'm doing and when, but at the very least I should make the car show on Sunday. Who's with me?

 

i'm going. Leaving in about an hour or two after i finish packing and take a powernap.

the car is... assembled. not quite carshow quality but well, i guess it is what it is. NEXT year.... next year will be different. gonna do a few touch-ups once in the city limits, since i'll get there a few hours before the meet & greet. so it might not look so bad once you see it. but please excuse the paint...

 

Meh, don't worry about it being show car quality. Most of us use them as daily drivers. Wish I had my freshly-painted bumpers installed tho...They hadn't been clear coated yet when I had to leave for lower Michigan. Hoping to go get them and install them over the 4th...

Anyway, back on topic...Who's coming?

i'm there now. horse's *** of a drive. my legs went numb somewhere around Ohio.... so after i got back into traffic my footwork when shifting was, well... interesting to say the least. but after i got detoured and re-detoured in Gary, In, I made my way to Chicago itself and got stuck in 1st-gear-only traffic... yayfun. but yea, i met up with John and his 4th gen, got the brakes working and went cruising around town and getting the cops called on the whole group. mostly 4th gen guys tho... i was the only 3rd gen out there for the friday night part.

 

Right now I'm in the area. I have a party to go to near Aurora today. I will be at the car show tomorrow. Hope to see everyone there!

Maxmaxima91 is on the right. He is pushing 18psi and 400whp. I have pics of his engine, and some more of the meet, but I JUST got home. (Jon's drive is several hours shorter than mine). I will post them tomorrow when I'm not dead tired.

SOMEONE in the group had that one pic of like, all 5 of us leaning on our cars... no... 4.. minus traxtar b/c i think we couldn't find him for the pic. it should show up here eventually. I wish we'd gotten there a little earlier! Jeremy was giving rides in his 400whp VG5!!

 

I could have brought my super stock 89 maxima with 88k miles and tons of rust I got for a dollar but I am still waiting on clips for the 5 hard lines I am replacing on it.
