Moving The Rear Stabilizer Bar Out of Way To Install Muffler & Safety Issue
SubscribeREF. RA-7
What can I un-do to move it out of the way but avoid removing it completely (Or else I need to re-align with "paint marks" that probably have long worn off)?
Also the car is up on jack stands and the rear jackstands are situated where the manual recommends, at the Rear Radius Rod joint - the one closer to the front of the car. But on page RA-8 it says DO NOT JACK-UP AT RADIUS RODS when working on the rear suspension.
If I tinker with JUST the stabilizer bar, could this be a death risk? The manual doesn't say exactly.

I already have 2 floor jacks. For lifting, then transfer to the stands.
It's way to dangerous to go under the car when supported just by a trolley jack(s).

your dropping the sway bar. thats easy you have the car in the air just undo the chassis links. and let it drop should give you plenty of room. you may be able to get away with just losening the passenger side.
