watch out.....some of the 5spd '93 Ludes are the fastest of the bunch, 190hp and light, mid/low 15's good driver, high 14's VERY good driver....this guy that used to work at the VOB BMW across the street from my old job, ran a ~15.3** stock in his old *** Lude, surprised the lving **** out of me!

Dude, you're a lurker, so I assume you haven't posted on here very often. Let me let you in on a few rules, generally it makes you look more intelligent if you use capitalization and punctuation. That sig? A definete no-no. Incomprehensible fragmented sigs don't scream "READ ME!"

If that 93 Lude is a VTEC you will be spanked, I assure you. I have a 2001 Lude now and I can take a VE 5spd fairly easily. Than again my car is modded rather heavily. I'm not hating on the Maximas, I had a 94 SE 5spd that I loved. In fact, next summer when I trade I'll probably get a 02 Maxima 6spd.

because to me you are a newbie.
if you claim to be a car that has over 60 more hp then you. i want to know what makes you think you had a chance in hell. hence me asking mods, and 1.4 mile times..

ok let me ask you this.. you saying that the 240 turbo has 60 more hp than me?

ok tell me this what does hp have anything to do with drag racing, Hp is only to help top speed. perhaps his 4 banger doesnt have the torque to pull on me. like i do on him considering i have a v6 with a lot more torque through out the power band..

i even let the guy spool up his turbo , that still didnt help him

what??? i dont understand what you are trying to say... i have a VG not a ve

and im not talking sh*t on you. im just merly stating that HP isnt for pulling , torque is what matters in a drag race, even so, we got up to 120 mph, down the road, and he still wasnt a head of me.

dude, i would be so happy to take my car to the track and get it dyno'ed but all that cost money.. and lots of it.. dynos around here arnt too cheap. around 100 dollars, which i dont need to be wasting to get my car's numbers, i`d rather just race agasint my brother's car that is a constant, so i can use that money to buy food and pay bills.

this is like milking a dead horse
i just realized something

if you are paranoid about money, running it at the track, then WHY did you spend all the money in mods in the first place?

it makes no sense.

exactly, perhaps the guy lost traction with all that power.. or he couldnt get the car into gear.

rwd drives car like the s2000 or the 240 lose traction easier than most cars, even so.. with rwd cars there is a lot of power lost thru the drive shaft.

Are you sure? My friend has a 93 VTEC 'Lude and for 190hp it sure feels slow(I've driven it). There is no way it would even get close to my Maxima. My maxima is a mid 14's car and his car would be lucky to be in the 15's. Maybe something's wrong with it??

well of course with all "older" cars, owner care plays a big role ion maintaining original performance.

I raced a 1.6 5 speed Vtec once. My car is a Cefiro with the VQ25DE but is JDM spec and has 190hp (140kw) I am also Auto. The Vtec was behind in 1st gear. When he hit second and started pulling, I was still in 1st near redline since I have no power run out at top end. When I got to second (hey this is stock slushbox here, 1>2 is slow) he was pulling. At 120km he was almost alongside and we stayed even. I stopped the race at 140 since It was evident he wasn't going to get me. It had me scared though.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure. The 4th gen Prelude VTECs were actually a little faster than the current 5th gens. The 4th gens were 15 second flat cars with a novice/unskilled driver. With a skilled driver who is familiar with the car they are in the high 14s. My Prelude was a 15 second car with me behind the wheel bone stock, but now it is in the low to mid 14s. Hey Czar, aren't you the one with the turbo VE? I thought I remembered your name when I used to hang out here alot earlier in the year.

umm

To clarify this ... I was with him. I'm the little brother that Mykizism mentioned earlier, and it is true indeed. Him and the 240 were neck and neck for about 30-40mph Mykizism started to pull away slowly, rest asure the results were he was ahead about one car length. I raced the 240 and I beat it really bad just incase you guys wanted to know
