ignition upgrade on GXE's?

I'm not talking about just the plugs, but the distributor cap and rotor and the whole ignition unit that they sit on. Being a hot rod buff, I go to hot rod shows and see lots of Excel (spelling?) wiring kits and spark amplifiers and so forth. Would I burn a hole in my pistons if I got a whole new performance ignition system and would it make any difference in performance?

alone it will make no difference, but if you do some "custom" fuel tuning, it shows some benefit.....

check out the MSD 6AL "ignition amp"(www.msdignition.com) and the Jacobs Import Ice PAK "ignition amp"(www.jacobselectronics.com).....but no there are no distributor "upgrades".
