HELP! Pop quiz: What gets wet on the passenger side causing a miss?
There is alot of rain today. The car drove fine for a short trip for a bite to eat on lunch break. Left work and it was missing. I eventually got on the highway and it went away. I guess something got damp or wet cauing a miss.
Obviously this is in the ignition.
I drove the cars passenger side through a puddle and the same miss returend.
Anyone know what this is?
Thsnks

O2 sensor would be my guess. I've had mine short out in a puddle, and it'll really give the engine fits until it dries out. same things as what you're describing.
check any splices in the wire, wire connections into the connector strapped to the rear engine mount, and also make sure the orange water tight seal inside the connector is in place.
If not, go buy some GOOD 3M Scotch 33+ or 35 or 38 series electrical tape and some canned air. pull the connector apart and blow dry air into it. once connector is clean, put back together and tape the crapola out of it with the electrical tape. stretched and wrapped properly, you can make that connector water tight.

Another item to check would be the distributor cap. Sometimes when you go though a puddle water wil splash on the inside of the hood and hit the distributor and they don't like to work properly after that. Ensure you have the ECCS cover on the cap to prevent water from come in contact.
