so, does the 0/40km thing do it with both gauges?

swapping out the gauges tells you where the problems aren't. if the problem is in the gauges, the problem will leave.
just to make sure I read it right, the 2nd speedo does not turn on and off, but works properly. (does it go to zero-km, or the gauge lights go out?)
both gauges dim when brakes are applied ( I read it and saw, dims-and-returns-and-dims-and-returns, as a cycle, is that right?)

so, does the 0/40km thing do it with both gauges?---> i can't say anything cuz the car's speedo gauges doesnt come on wen i start the car they come on after u start driving and drive for a while then they come and goes off...and the one i installed after, guages come on right away wen i start the car and everything is normal but it shows 40km in parked car...

both gauges dim when brakes are applied ( I read it and saw, dims-and-returns-and-dims-and-returns, as a cycle, is that right?) ---> yes u r right...but guages doesnt dim and returns only side lights are like seat belt, fuel warning, battery, and those side lights... leme go make a video of that and its night perfect BRB...

if somebody else has the problems, they can find this thread, and have an idea on how to fix it.

The speed sensor is to blame for the false reading when parked. It does it when the tranny is cold and goes away in about 10 minutes after the trans has warmed up. Mine does the same thing on cold starts if the temp is below about 45 degrees.

As far as the flickering bulbs go, most likely there is a weak connection somewhere in that illumination circuit. You said you tried 2 clusters and if they both did the same thing, you can pretty much rule out loose bulbs or wiring within the cluster. Check the harness, check your alternator, check your grounds, check tail wiring.

hectic is right....i changed speed sensor and it is fixed...how i found out about dat ? cuz wen i was having problem with speed going around 40\km wen i start the car, it was a cold night and wen in afternoon i started the car and speed was around 5 or 10 km...so it was obvious that the day is HOT and tranny isnt as cold as night and speed sensor was the problem ..so i changed the sensor and it is fixed now.....and about speedo meter lights diming while applying brakes was the problem in tail lights wiring they were attached and melted and corroded.....or u can say there was a short circuit....i fixed wiring and now wen i apply brakes theres no diming in speedo meter....wierd eh? well ya it fixed it...

so your actual brakelights were messing up too weren't they? i've melted brake wiring before... the contacts on a bulb flattened and spread, combined a few circuits, and kept blowing the fuse.
