Seabring vs Maxima

My friend just recently got a brand new convertable Crysler Seabring (I think that's how you spell it). Anyways, he's been gloating how great a car he's got. Now I admit that it's new AND that it's a convertable, but when it comes to sheer power, that thing doesn't have that much under the hood. Now, I have a 91 GXE (auto), so my car's not nearly as powerfull as the 5spd max's, but if I were to race him, would I beat him? Oh ya, he has an auto too.

I know I'd beat him off the line and in the 1/4, but I'm not sure about how much. Next time I can, i'm gonna race him, but I want to make sure I can bet him a good amount of money without fear of losing.

i can shed some light

The times I found on the '01 Sebring Limited Convertible are 8.9s 0-60 and 16.9s 1/4 mile. I also have a friend that drives a '00 Sebring conv. and he will even admit that its very sluggish due to the fact thats its heavy and convertible. He has the 2.7l engine made by mitsubishi I think. He also has a cone intake. I don't think the sebring is a race car or anything, its more like a sweet weekend cruiser and a good one at that. I think my modded VG auto can take it pretty easily...no offence Pedro.

Take into consideration that the convertible alone will add some weight. Some cars as much as like 100+ pounds.
