Brake & Battery light are both on.

Im pretty sure I have another failed alternator. This will be alternator number 5.

My brake light is on. I am not low on fluid and the e-brake is off. What will trigger the brake light to turn on with full fluid? A short or something???

I'm pretty sure that brake light plus the battery light points specifically to a failed alternator. The only time the brake light comes on and its a problem with the brakes is if the fluid is low.

Yup. brake + batt = alternator. I don't know why they did it, but they've got a diode between them.. Whenever the alternator fails, both batt and brake lights come on.

yup yup its the alternator... I just fixed the same problem... check and see if the belt is even on the alternator if not then ur car is just runnin from the batt and 9 times outta 10 ur car is just running off the batt but yeah I had this same prob when i first got my 92 GXE and i replaced the batt and the alte at advance batt was around $70 the alt was about $80 make sure whoever puts its on does it the right way that that the batt is charged fully before installed... crank her up and the light should be gone...

im taking a wild guess here but maybe because there is not alternator light? I kind of understand why that batt light would come on but the break?

a LOT of cars do the batt+brake thing to signify a failed alternator.

Alternator. The remanufactured ones usually don't last very long, so I'd recommend a new one.
