Injectors OEM or Remanufactured?
I have read many post recently on fuel injectors on here and I see most guys recomending OEM Bosch injectors but I was wondering if some of you could please give their personal experience with the reliability of remanufactured injectors? My 89 has 280k and one of them in the front is open, this is a beater that I run everyday and don't really want to spend $150 for a Bosch but if it is only going to last a couple of months or so It would be foolish not to. Any input on how long a remanufactured one has lasted would be greatly appreciated.

Cliff's Notes: reman= crap
don't buy them. Buy NEW Bosch injectors only. Stay away from Python and any of the rebuilders. they jsut don't work as a permanent solution. |
I've used rebuilts before.
less than a month later I had to replace all of them and then some. popped in new ones and they stayed there until the car looked like this: http://internetautomart.com/albums/9...0355.sized.jpg actually they were still in the car unless kyle took them. |

Thanks for the input guys, it is just weird that parts stores keep selling them if they dont even last a month or two, you would think that if they were that bad and all were returned that soon and that often they wouldn't even sell them. I might try junk yard OEM's over the expensive Bosch.

Governor, I checked my repair notes and my 2 reman injectors that were installed by a garage have been running since FEB 2008. Another of the original injectors blew recently so I just bought the new Bosch one, as I noticed the garage charged me $90.00 on the invoice for the reman. So those 2 I just tested and the impedance is 12ohm & 11.8ohm. They are blue dots. The originals were green dots. The new one I just bought is yellow dot.
