APC mods

For all of you guys that like the euro tail light look and the BMW projector look why not talk with the people at APC about getting some parts made???????????????????

you could always look for the real euro or JDM j30 max lights which would give you better lighting

I know at least 5 or 6 guys had been working on that quite a bit a couple years back. Heck, I even begged APC about it. They may act like they'd make them "if there's enough interest", or that they're interested, but I guarantee you they wont make them and arent very interested at all.

it's been attmpted many times...but, just to say, if you REALLY want them, heck, why not try? People said 3rd gen indiglos wouldn't be done, I didn't even think they'd be manufactured and I KNOW some of the indiglo makers personally!

i know where APC is coming from (to a degree). They aren't going to take on a project that won't be profitable. The sheer interestest in the civic/accord/focus aftermarket has made it worth while for them to make the dies for the Injection Molding process. (dies can cost 100K easy depending on size and detail.

With the sheer # of people between 18-25 that are driving 3rd gen maxes (and even 4th gens) that they would take a more active interest in the car.

I would think that if someone would send them the # of threads that delt w/ mounting BMW lights over the years that they may change their tune.

Personally I don't think euro tails would look right on a 3rd gen just due to the configuration of the rear end, but hey for those of you that like that sort of thing, you just need to go out with a planned attack.

Now that most of the hondas and other have been taken care of they may start to target nissans and a few others, but don't expect the prices to be as cheap just due to volume differences..

Ngthing has a point, I didnt think indiglo's would be made, and they are. But indiglo's and projector-lights/clear tails are waaay different. Indiglo's are cheap to manufacture, etc, therefore companies are willing to take on stuff like that. There's no real risk in them losing much money on projects like indiglo's. Trust me, we've sent APC and Matrix and other companies threads dealing with interest. They even told us they were in the process of designing them (just to get us off their backs). There's a lot of 3rd gens out there with young guys driving them, but the majority are run-down hand me down cars. I mean, even the third gen forum on this site is turning into more of a maintainance forum. It's just one of those "too little, too late" deals.

yeah i've noticed that my self these days. I've been looking on and off for a ve powered 3rd gen. 90% of the cars that I come across are in rough shape. the same goes for TTz32s. Finding a single owner, lower millage, adult driven car is a near impossible task.
