will Bose CD decks from 95-99 or even 00-02 fit and work in a 92?

 

Don't know about later years, but 1995-96 units will. I have a double-din cd/cassette unit from a '95 in my '93, and it works great. You have to make up an adaptor plug, but it's really easy. The plugs are available from scosche.com, or you may be able to buy them at Wal-mart. The Scosche plug for the harness end of the adaptor says "not for Bose", but that's only because they leave out one of the wires. If you use your power antenna, you'll need to buy two of these (so you can steal an extra wire); mine's broke anyway, so I didn't bother. Most of the wiring details can be found on installdr.com, but it turns out that you just need to match the two Scosche adaptors color by color.

BTW - if you don't have a head unit, check car-part.com. A junkyard (excuse me - I mean "auto recycler") 15 minutes from my house had 3 of them!
