auto shift *****

I was thinking about buying a sporty looking one for my car, but the problem is the OD button, is there a way to install one without an OD button and still keep OD on , the other option is one of these http://cgi.ebay.ca/NISSAN-Altima-Maxima-240SX-300ZX-AUTO-Shift-****-O-D_W0QQitemZ110294373867QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_C ar_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item110294373867&_ trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A3|65%3A2|39%3A1 |240%3A1318 with an OD button but they aren't cheap, any help

if you trace the OD wire that is on your stock shifter you can reolcate the OD button to somewhere else, like on the dash next to the tilt-wheel lever, for example. i was working on a manual-shift mod for my automatic, which ended up failing miserably, but this is where i put my switches for it. the silver switch was actually for t/c lockup (ie "what killed my tranny") but it's a pretty good hiding spot for a switch, esp a black one.

also the mounting of the Levoc wasn't all that great. so it'll loosen itself over time.

razo is holding on.

meh, they're all ugly imo. i like the chrome trim on my car but i don't like LARGE areas of chrome like that. the stock leather-wrapped shifter was just fine for me. but if you like it, it's whatev. i just prefer my shifters to move on 2 axes instead of just one

yea i know i know. but what's actually wrong with the ebay ones anyways? imprecise construction causes the button action to suck or something? or they get loose and you have to re-tighten them weekly? or they just feel cheap? chrome flakes off after a few months? the op did want one w/o the OD button there, after all.

I believe the definition of "oxymoron" is "sporty automatic shifters".
