my 92 got a bit owned

this morning i noticed a monster blue scratch going from the rear passenger wheelwell to midway of the rear door. i park at the back at work so stuff like this wont happen and i thought thats where it did. a couple nights ago around 1am i found someones car insurance paper in my wiper and thought someone else found the paper on the ground and figured i would do something with it

anyways, i just thought of it, my car must have gotten nailed that night when i was at a movie and the guy left his paper. anyways, im not doing anything about it since accidents happen, but how do i take care of it? my cousin lost his job and is looking for money and my 92 has rust on the wheelwells so im going to pay him to fix the rust up and i figure while im at it may as well take care of the blue scratch.

thanks

honestly if the body was in mint shape i would have asked him to get his insurance to fix it, but the previous owner of my 92 had kids and its got a few dents around the wheelwells and the rust started when he had it. he loaded it with killer performance parts though (eibach springs etc). with the other dents and stuff i cant see how a strip of blue and a extra dent is more work to fix. i plan on buying a 1989 skyline next year and keeping the max to tinker on and completely haul over when i get the money so its no biggie.

more ownage today. i was looking at the scratch and he nailed one of my rims too. theyre the stock ones since i havent got around to puting my summer rims on so no biggie still. my custom exhaust tip got crushed today too, i scraped my muffler on the driveway and 5 minutes later when i was going fast it came off, that poor thing caught 8ft of air on the first bounce and almost nailed a jeep but he swerved in time. when i went back for it, it was crushed and flatter than a can. ended up getting a new one

what a pain in the ***

the cops said it looks like hes a fairly rich guy, so i didnt feel bad about getting everything fixed after 2nd thought, at first i was worried whoever did it might not be able to pay. i got a damage estimate and it came out to $1550.48. i went and filled out a police report since it was over $1000 and did other paperwork

after, the guy called me. he said that theres no way he could afford $1500 so he said its going to go through his insurance. he said this was his first insurance claim/crash ever. after he went to the cop station, i had to go back to pick up papers and i caught a glimpse of his birthdate. hes young, and a $1500 hit on your insurance young sucks.

long story short, i called him after and told him to tell his insurance to do nothing and for him to give me $300 cash when he can. he was extremely nice and honest. $300 will fix the rust on my maxima thats spreading, the dents and scratch he made can wait
