Replacing my brake and fuel lines questions

I'm going to replace my fuel and brake lines. They are a mess. Brake lines have just started to weep. I'm pissed but what can you do? So, I have decided that I'm going to buy rolls of line and bend and flare them myself . I've done some searching but have not found all the info I need. My questions are I know the brake lines are 3/16. What size are the fuel lines? I'm replacing everything from the engine compartment back. How much of each line do you think I'll need? Also, the inverted flare nuts that I need are 3/16 correct? Or are they metric? As for the flares, they need to be double flared to 45 degrees correct?

I know it's best to buy pre bent oem lines but I'm not spending that much money on this project. I've spent too much on this turd as it is. I just need to keep it running until I can afford to buy a new car.

I replaced my brake lines with stainless steel ones, and got Brembo slotted rotors and ceramic pads.

He's talking about all the brake/fuel lines that run under the car to the back, not the rubber hoses that go to the brake calipers..

Nice! But that doesn't answer any of my questions.

I don't know the exact size of the fuel lines, but from what I remember I read somewhere on the ORG that 1 of the lines in group of 5 (2 brake, 3 fuel), is 5/16. So if you know that the brake lines are 3/16, then it's possible all fuel pipes are 5/16. Someone will need to confirm. I'm going to be doing the same repair as you maybe in July or AUG. So far my lines are OK, and no leaks, but they are looking seriously corroded...mainly in the area where that plastic cover is. I removed the cover and threw it away to try and clean out any road salt from last winter.

The brake line nuts are most likely 10mm X 1.0 male no lead 16mm overall - SAE flare (a standard asian nut). The flare is most likely SAE 45 Degree double flare. You'll need to confirm all this though to be 100% sure, but do post what you find. The bleed screw is most likely 10mm X 1.0 33mm overall. I'll try to find out too.

Also got some bad brake lines, worst under the plastic covers.
My local shop do sell lines, are there any particular type of lines (think they had copper and coppernickel) to use?
They are 3/16".

What kind of tools do I need?
Any Newbie guide to this?

Did replace a small part of them at the auto shop last year (like 30cm/15 inch) and they charged me around 300$.

The lines cost 20-40$ for 5 meters/16 feet.. Would be nice if I could replace them myself..

Yup. Crusty, bloated lines. I would rather buy oem but the prices are ridiculous. I found 3/16 steel, double wall, copper plated 25' roll of line for $14.99. Only thing though is I just replaced my O2 sensor and while I was under there I really took a good look at the lines and how they are routed. Man it's going to suck bending all those lines. Not to mention the lines go underneath both front and rear suspension. I wish I could just cut out the bad section under the drivers side and replace but there is no way. Once you touch those lines they are junk. Then trying to flare the 5 lines while on the car is next to impossible. And that's if you can cut it back far enough where the line is solid.

So guys can you recap. Is this correct:

REAR BRAKE PIPE (LH) 3/16"
REAR BRAKE PIPE (RH) 3/16"
FUEL SEND PIPE 5/16"
FUEL RETURN PIPE 5/16"
FUEL TANK BREATHER PIPE 5/16"
BRAKE LINE BENDER TOOL
SAE 45 FLARE TOOL

What other parts will we need? I'm not buying the OEM lines either - their a huge rip. Also, does the flare tool make that barb end for the fuel pipes...or do we need another separate tool to do that (Dan you did the lines right - did you remember when you did it?)...This is the barb that goes to the fuel filter with that short hose, as well as the hose coming back from the rail, and the last barb goes to the carbon canister I think. There's 3 barbs in total.
