I'm going to replace my transmission fluid and I was wondering if there was any brand of ATF that is recommended over others or if they are all equivalent. There seems to be alot of recommendations for specific manual transmission fluids on the forums but I haven't found any discussions about automatic transmission fluid.

 

Valvoline High-Mileage Dextron / Mercon ATF should be just fine...

use synthetic. the max is designed to use a low ash fluid. AFAIK the only low ash fluids are either synthetic or OE.
