okay i finally raced a "VE"

it wasnt a stock VE but my car isnt stock either. i wont say who i raced but he is on this board. a matter a fact his car had more bolt ons than mine. AND he had a 60-65 shot of NOS. now you would think it wouldnt be fair for him to run on the bottle against me but, hey run what ya brung. okay first race from about 5-10mph we both nail it and i jump about a car length on him, i think he spun his tires cause i seen smoke in my mirrors. as we go thourgh the gears he pulls all the way up to the middle of my car. and we held like that until traffic. the next few races i stared in second gear and he pulled on me everytime. nothing drastic about a half a car length. then we took it to the freeway im in third and we nail it he jumps ahead and im on his back bumper and held there for pretty much the whole race. in the end i was very impressed with the VE and his car. but in my opinion motor to motor i would have beat him.

So what mods do you have? both autos or both 5 spds?
you can't really compare a 5 spd VG to an auto VE- especially if he's got NOS.

Plus, from the results you got, I highly doubt he was running his bottle.

Next time I will turn of the bottle off and drop Bags off and see How I do. I have always loved the VQ wide torque curve it sure seems to pull no matter what rpm or gear. I really have to push my VE to get anything acomplished. Maybe we can do a standing start drag and lets line up somewhere I feel more comfortable. I am so damn nervous around here, another ticket and I dead. I am very impressed at how fast your car is with just intake/exhaust. Whats next on your mod list? Wonder what your weighing right now? I have no idea my 93 weight, where are some scales? Thanks for the dyno coupon though I will schedule an appointment soon.

All those mods and you can't take a VQ? there's something seriously wrong with your car then. you should be running at least low 14s with those mods. my car runs a 15 flat with only CAI and UDP. you've got well over 100hp more worth of mods there.
if you can barely keep up with a VG of any sort, then that car either needs to lose a LOT of weight, or spend some time in the shop to get the engine problems corrected.

tell allgo to post. i emailed him about that but he never answered me. I'm so sick of BS fake names on boards. i'm on pastreetracing too, and people get fake names and stuff. anyway, allgo wouldn't answer my emails, so i quit caring.

I dont beleive this one bit. Stock for Stock the VE 5 speed will take a auto or 5 speed VG 'No Problem" it should take a VQ. This does not pan out. As modded as the VE is it should pound on VQ 5 speeds.

Geez.....what kinda shady crap is this?? If that VE really has all those mods, there's really no excuse for him not to beat down just about any car out there. I remember the post trying to sell that car, and it cant even beat a slightly modded VQ??? Not to flame, but that's pretty pathetic, regardless of the environment, type of race, etc. B.S. or one lousy excuse for a driver....

heheh oops. well if those idiots out there would fix their sig files to meet Jambo's specs, we could get the sigs back up and running and would know who had what car.
either way, with those mods, that VE should kill a VQ, 4th or 5th gen.

NISMO2020 IS A VQ. BTW look at allgo's post , I am BAGS. I was in ALLGO's car when he raced nismo2020.

Nismo2020 did lose , but it was not like a beat down.

BTW they are both 5 speeds.

wtf? Electric Supercharger?

IS that the tornado thing that goes in the intake? TAKE IT OFF...maybe it's messing him up somehow. What kind of system? Does he have like a 4 12's box in the trunk or something making him a boat like the FnF max? Did he drive terribly when you were in the car with him? Cuz thats a long list of mods to be bare beat a stock maxima of any kind.

I had a electric demand charger from honeywell and it was a very nice piece. It was leading edge technology developed to lower emissions on turbocharged vehicles and eliminate turbo lag. The supercharger was a normal one like the stillen model but it required no lubrication but was powered by an extremely efficient compact and powerful electric motor. It spooled in a 1/4 of a second off a wot switch and it was amazing. My fuel mgmt was the JWT N2O, I just didn't use the nitrous the oxygen was there. I never hooked up a boost guage but I believe it was around 5psi for short bursts of acceleration. However the unit failed as it was a prototype from honeywell and the project was scrapped because a car manufacturer did not bite on the idea. They refunded my money and I was forced to spend it on other mods. Yeah my car is a boat only 2 12's in a custom box with some heavy *** amps. When racing Nismo I was about 3800lbs, about 400lbs too much!

agreed!!!! but heres how I break it down though...I've read about the Honeywell Elec SC.....it has nothing to do with what this guy is talking about, used alone its not remotely close to an SC or turbo! what it does is aid in spool up of an actual turbocharger, its used on big rigs and cars using BIG turbos, used alone it is poitnless! and using the JWT N20 program as Fuel management on an NA.....I think not, the JWT N20 module is only activated when using NOS(ie- when solenoids are activated), thus if you not using NOS, THE N20 program is NOT ACTIVATED, thus only using standard JWT fuel and ignition maps!!!!!!!!! I will say no more......

I am sorry you have are minimizing the use of the honeywell unit. Maybe it is because you weren't able to source such an item. If you had better knowledge concerning the EDC(eletric demand charger), you would also have known that it is excellent as a stand alone unit for NA cars. You were right it is nothing like a traditional sc/turbo it is not constantly spooling. It does aid in spool up of BIG turbo and big trucks and it does create some good pressure for it to even aid something of that volume. The JWT N20 program has nothing to do with using N20 it only sends a signal to a relay inturn to anything, a solenoid or any other device. It is merely switched on, and when at wot it opens the injector pulse width to accomodate the extra oxygen that the N20 provides. If you were running a traditional sc/turbo it would not work without upgrading injectors and programming. Look at your cause and effect relationship it just doesn't make sense. Maybe if you would have said N20 is introduced only when the JWT module is armed and at wot, you would have been correct.
