Hopefully someone knows what this is before I take it to the dealer. The light indicators on the dash work (low fuel, check eng, turn signals, etc) but when the lights are on, neither the dash nor the instrument panel (or whatever you call the A/C and radio panel) light up and the spedometer works intermittantly. I have tried to pound on the interior light adjuster, but it doesn't seem to want to work at all. Any clue?

Also, here's something weird: When I start the car, it takes like five minutes for the spedometer to start working. While it doesn't work, the Check Engine light is activated. But as soon as the spedometer works, the Check Engine light disappears. Thoughts are welcome.

 

Whoa!! At first, I was gonna say check yer fuses, until I read a bit deeper into your post. Now, I'm just as clueless as when I started out. Sorry, bro!

 

I took it to the dealer to have it looked at, and it was a combination of fuses, shorted wires, and some other thing in the dash that wouldn't allow the odometer to work. Never would have thought of all those things.
