Brake upgrades

I have a friend that was gonna sell me some Q45 calipers(not sure which year) for real cheap and before i bought them i wanted to now if they can even be put on my 89 GXE, and if soo what kind of modification has to be done ?

And while im askin bout brakes what brake uprgrades would be most recommended at a decent price ?

One last question lol... Is it possible to convert the stock 89 Maxima, front 2 calipers and 2 rear drum, to calipers all the way around like the later 3rd Gens ?

Thanks

Umm on that last question yes you can convert to all disc brakes all the way around. All you're doing is converting the rear drums. The other questions I'm not so sure on. I'm gonna leave this up to someone else who has experience at those questions. I don't want to lead you in the wrong way.

Not to jack your thread, but I asked Jeff92se a few weeks ago was if the z32 300zx rear calipers would fit on a 3rd gen with his brackets. I haven't seen anybody do it. Thinking I might be the 1st later dwn the road.

well all 3rd gen SE's had 4-disc brakes, as well as GXEs with ABS had rear discs too. I would suggest getting a rear disc setup (ie whole strut swap including ebrake cables) from a 91-94 maxima, then try and find the inner caliper adapter bracket (4 bolts to hub, 2 bolt holes to mount the caliper tqmember) from an 89-90 maxima so you can use 1986 300zx rotors in the rear.

for the q45 setup, i think people use a Infiniti J30 rotor and have it milled down by 3mm so it won't scrape the caliper.
