I think its pretty bad A$$ for a 3rd gen. Looks like he has won some hardware with it too. His car is the same year and model as mine 93 GXE, heres hoping my car one day looks that good!!
Has this guy ever been on these forums?

That car is soooo sweet... what are you talking about?! Actually, I wouldn't want my car to look like his either though.. it's be pretty obvious that I was copying him..

Aaah, so you're more into speed, and less into looks. Let me guess: You have a 92-94se. For us poor VG auto guys, it's either all show and no go, or no show and no go, or buy new car and go.
So I think David did a good job of all show and some nice go due to n20
Actually, there is something available for the VG auto's that will make it blow the doors off any other maxima. Though, I am the only one that knows about it and I'm not telling anyone until I get it!
I really am not kidding. Now, does anyone have any idea where I can find $10,000 so I can get this mystery mod for my max? One quick question, can you guys give me an estimate on what my 0-60 would be with 600+ hp (no crap nitrous)? I am dead serious.
Damn you David!!! Your Max looks so beautiful its made it hard for me to decide on the WW or Stillen kit! I'm going with the Stillen and WW dual exhaust rear (the WW rear looks like it should fit okay with the rest of the Stillen kit) since the Stillen seems plain. Thanks for standing up for us VG Autos!

Re: What do you guys think of the new Maxima of the Month??
oh yeah, i was gonna post about it when i first noticed it was finally changed. was there ever a november one? anyway, i just wanted to congrats him. i also have same year/model. looks great. good job. i also hope i can get mine looking that nice.
Davids Max
Yes his car is super sweet like I said, and there is nothing bad about it being a VG auto, any car can be fast with enough money into it and it is modified enough. I.E. torque converter tranny rebuild computer chip.
Thanks all for the congrats..
Not done yet though. I just got some new stuff in that I'm gonna install over the weekend. I got a carbon fiber gauge bezel, 6 color indiglo gauges and the import intelligence intelliglo needles. I'll post some pics when I get done installing all this stuff.
Thanks all,
David C.
Thanks all,

Okay, so I'm quite a few steps back..
dave's max is off the hook
i seen his max in 2 shows now...
hot import nights in dallas and auto expo in houston
uncle max was there in both shows...
and in the auto expo in houston i saw his turbo too, very sweet
mad props to dave and his car...

Re: Thanks all for the congrats..
I saw your car awhile ago. It was the picture in which it was parked in a drive way it had to be about a year ago (maxima driver. com). For me it is what I aspire to when ever I add another mod to my ride.

damn maximapwr's car was at the Houston import show? damn..i shoulda went to that.. it was like 20 mins away from my place.. but i didnt feel like paying to get in.. and my fear of being around a lot of azn ricers..
Does anyone know when the next show is, in Dallas or Houston? I really want to check Dave's max out. Strrrive, I know EXACTLY what pic you're talking about. Its the one with the stillen kit, touring wing and he didn't have the chameleon paint yet, right? God, I never liked the Stillen kit at all but when I saw that pic I nearly had a heart attack! Now that I remember that pic, I think I'm going to have a new windows background pic! Hey Maximapwr, do you have a turbo?!? How much HP are you pushing with just the turbo? I don't particularly like NOS since its temporary but its still fun!

I think you're right Hojo. I'm pretty sure it was DAMAX's page that I found the link to. I'm getting extremely tired of people calling me a liar. I think me talking about these mods might have been what got Jeff92se ****ed at me, thinking I am a newbie and a liar. So, to please the masses, here it is: http://www.hekimianracing.com/nissan3lna.html Yeah, it is on the expensive side but, no one else makes this so I guess we have to live with it. It says it puts out 300hp. Though, I talked with the guy and he told me he could custom fabricate a s/c that would fit the vg30e. Of course, this would require a modified hood and custom downpipes, among other minor things. Though, he said that with the use of a 12lb pulley on the s/c, I'd be pushing out 500-600+ hp!!! Now do you guys believe me? I'm going to get this eventually and enjoy the surprise it brings to the likes of people with mustangs, camaros, transams, and firebirds! Unless they have more than 600hp!
Oh, I know exactly what you mean DA-MAX! I am not saying I have it all figured out. I wasn't about to drop a 600+ hp engine in my max and leave the drivetrain stock. Then if I floored it, the drivetrain would take off and leave the rest of the car behind!
I know that is one of the many things I will need to figure out before I get that engine along with motor mounts, fuel system, suspension, etc. Yeah, it wouldn't be a pretty sight to see what damage that much power would do to a stock maxima! My car would definitely receive a complete overhaul before that monster would find its home under my hood. I don't know how I'd even keep the tires on the ground with that much power. Though, its nice to know the engine is available when someone wants to go all the way.

no need to spend 9k which you could just buy a old 240 AND THEN!! buy a sr20det motor AND THEN!!! drop that in AND THEN!!! still beat a maxima with that kinda engine..
even better yet buy a 2nd gen rx7, 1.3 liters turbo and you`ll beat a maxima with that kinda engine
Mykizism, I talked to the guy that makes it. That engine is $9000 because it comes with more than just the engine. 1st, it has cryogenics done to the metal, which drastically decreases warping and the metal from overheating. It has performance polished and ported heads (not the stock heads), performance cams, and a ton of other stuff. Also, I think he said it comes with a custom fabricated intake and downpipe that are both polished internal/external, in addition to that I thought he mentioned ECU modding but I don't remember. So, it isn't just the engine. The reason it is so expensive is because it has almost everything done to it plus the Cryogenics adds a few $1000 to the price. Cryogenics is something they do to the metal that makes it more resistant to heat and stress. I have heard of it being used in professional racing since those engines are always being redlined all day. It isn't some BS and really does help. He can do the cryo treatment for the transmission too, and I think that could be the best investment so we wouldn't have to constantly rebuild our tranny's! Think of it as more of an equivalent to a Civic Spoon engine. Those go for $15+k from what I have seen before. BTW, I love my maxima and I'm crazy so that's why I'd buy that engine!

that motor is built for full bread racing it isnt a street engine.
Actually, it is a street engine. Its damn expensive but top of the line. He said its perfectly street legal. It is extremely expensive though. It is basically the Nissan equivalent of a Spoon engine, almost. From what I saw, those Spoon engines are around $15k I thought. At least this is cheaper than that but it still doesn't help me out since I don't have $9k for an engine!
That sure would be awesome to have a n/a Vg30e with 300hp though!

Well, I remember him telling me the 300hp $9k engine was street legal (in most states but probably not all) ,but the custom s/c 500+hp engine was most likely not!
Well, I think he said it might not be street legal in certain states that have very strict emissions laws, like California. You don't mean the 300hp engine, do you? I mean, it is n/a so I don't see any significant reason that would warrant it not being street legal. Da-max, did you mean the $6k 225hp version? I could have sworn it was 225hp. Thats still a great improvement and, as enthusiastic as I am about all this, $5-6k for 210-225hp is way too expensive. Though, as crazy as I am, I will probably end up buying one anyways. I mean, say you got the $6k 225hp engine (I'm almost positive he mentioned this one), you could always do a complete custom job of a turbo to add another significant amount of horsepower. I know that involves a lot more custom work but, its all worth it if you love your car!

Why do you want to pay so much for NA cars that don't really have JAWDROPPING hp? I mean 300 hp is all good and everything, but for 9,000 dollars I'm thinkin you could get your car a LOT faster... put a 200 shot of NOS, custom turbo or supercharger, and the tranmission, ignition, fuel pump etc. upgrades that would need to be in place. With a turbocharger and 200 shot NOS you could have something like 600 hp right?
Neice Anne, thats what I talked about before. This guy can make a custom supercharged Vg30e with 500-600+hp! And this 500+hp engine is $10,000 so for only $1000 more you have 200+ more hp. I know its all damn expensive but, its not like we have a lot of options for our cars, other than completely custom work.
Mykizism, alone that 300hp motor isn't worth $9000 (I'd still buy one but, I'm crazy and dumb). Though, imagine THIS motor combined with a turbo. That is really what I am thinking of. I mean, you'd already have 300hp and then add a turbo, intercooler, etc and moderately high boost to get another 100+hp. Then you'd have a lot more than the equivalent turbo setup on a stock Vg30.
On a sidenote, does anyone know how to do any calculations to find out how fast our 0-60 would be with one of these engines? I know there are 1/4 mile calculators and all but, I want to find out exactly how fast a GXE would probably be with this 300hp engine. I am assuming it would be under 6.0-6.5 sec but I don't have any idea.
One thing I think everyone might be overlooking is the fact that all the internals in these engines are performance parts. I am not trying to talk crap or anything. I am just saying, yeah, you could easily get more hp for $9k then buying that engine. Though, that engine has complete performance parts so it will be running extremely efficient compared to a more stock engine with a ton of other mods. When you get into performance internals on engines, it can end up costing quite a bit. Though, these performance parts are more fine-tuned and would work much better than stock internals. Do you guys understand what I'm saying. I'm not trying to stand up for the engine or anything because $9k will be raping me financially! I'm just saying, its not like its a complete waste of money. Though, I personally think the engine should only be about $3-6k and then it would be more worth it. Lets not argue about it though. None of you guys seem to want to buy it but, I will be the crazy one and go buy it once I am finished robbing a few banks! j/k
