How can i tell if my max has antilock brakes and locking differential
I have a 92 maxima 5speed dohc and need a new cv shaft. Idont know if my max has antilock brakes and locking differential. Please help ordering from autozone if somebody can get part # thanks
turn the wheel to one side, rev to 6000, and dump the clutch in first (not responsible for any damages).
lift the front of car in the air, spin one tire, if the other side spins the same way, you have LSD, if they will spin the opposite way, you don't or the diff is shot.
98% sure you have both, tho, if it came stock as a VE5.

all US DOHC 3rd gens have "locking" which is really limited slip, not a true locker. But they use the term "locking" for some reason.... anyways the answer is "yes" you have it.
If you have an aluminum box thingy with a crapload of thin metal tubes attached to it just behind your passenger-side headlight, you have ABS.
