225/40 or 235/40 would be fine. i ran 235/40 and was lowered and needed to roll the inner fender wells so if you plan on lowering or are lowered, i suggest 225.

The guy i bought it from said that the rears are about 1.5" wider than the front so i didnt think the same tire would fit... the FRONT = 225/45 REAR = 245/45 so which one would give me the same look from the side? the 235 or 225...(not good with this tire stuff)

teh 245/45 is going to be a wider tire and is setup for the RWD car.

id sell all the tires and get 225/40 all around. the wheels themselves are all 18x8 with +30 offset.

use the search function or go to the tire section of the forum, there is a ton of info to read.

I see what ur saying but the guy told me that the rear rim was wider not just the tire. so ur telling me that the rim/wheel itself for all 4 of them is 18x8? if so then ill keep the two front tires that are 225/45 because they fit good on back and front... I got all lost because they guy said that the rims were different sizes... but if they are not ill just get two more 225/45's and try to get rid of the 245/45's that are on there now.

@Infam0usMax i was the first to put these on the 3rd gen so i def. did a lot of research. check the wheels themselves. on the inside you will see the size. 2 225/45s would be a good way to go too.

@maximo018 @GRNMAXDMON - yeah i might check in every once in a while. once you go max, you always stay max...i think thats how it goes

18x8 is the size so they are all the same size.
30 is the offset so they are the same size.

so now do you believe me that they are the same size wheel?

so yes the rears will run a 225/45 just fine.

Yeah, Thanks man... I told you from the start that I had no knowledge of tire sizes... I just needed to make sure before I spent the money to get new tires. the guy i bought them from told me that they rear wheel was bigger i guess he meant the tire... but thanks again...

I just ran the 245 up front. It only rubbed when I went full turn lock. Then again, during my maxima days, I was swapping wheel setups like water

the G35s look nice on our 3rd gens. I've always been a fan of 5-spoke for that sporty look though, so I slapped 17" '05 Altima 3.5SEs on mine... just throwing it out there

Its OEM charcoal grey. all original paint (except for the bumpers of course), nearly 20 yrs old. The gunmetal color that the SE-Rs come in is very nice, I'd say stay away from rims that were sprayed, especially if they werent done professionally. Eventually, road rocks/sand/debris/etc is gonna chip away at the paint.
