If my max has been sitting for over an hour, the gas pedal sticks in the position it would be in if you didn't press it down any. I have to ginerly tap the gas if I don't want to lurch forward. Any suggestions on what to do?

Don't have the answer to your question, but was wondering what part of Cincinnati you're from?

I live on the east-side.

Peace.

I live way west. Not actually in city of Cincinnati. In a small town called North Bend, about 5 miles from Indiana border and about 5 miles from the river. It's good to know someone else in Cincy is a member.

Ahh.

I know the general area you're talking about. Don't get out on the west side much except for work parties (Everybody who works at the Justice Center lives on the West). Go Cranley!

Little audio question

Hey Mark, how'd you fit 6.5's in the front doors? Custom install? What kinda power are you running to those speakers? Head unit? Oh, and I've been asking around about subs and everyone keeps telling me about Infinity Kappas and how great they sound. Well I sure hope they sound great since they're $300 for one 12. How do you like your JL Audio W6's? How much they cost you? You recommend any good audio stores in town? funny thing you should say go Cranley! He went to St. X and I do right now. Cya

Audio

The 6.5's were a custom install. My speakers are being run headunit only. They're frickin loud as hell and I could still pump a ton more juice into them before they'd blow. I don't have any plans to buy another amp until I get my tweeters.

JL Audio is nice, excellent bass quality. My 12's handle everything I play, which is mostly hip-hop (No Cash Money **** though, but I'm sure they could take it).

I really couldn't recommend any place in town except Carl's Stereo On Wheels, in Montgomery, it's a drive though. The guy who installed most of my gear was a private installer referred to me by a coworker. He installed everything to my expectations, and I got a deal on JVC equipment with him. Unfortunately he's also a drunk, a gambler and a cheat. While he had my car, he took it down to Argosy on a joyride and dented the side to the tune of $2800 in body damage. I'm in a legal battle right now to get it fixed. I need to find someone who can break legs, since you go to X, maybe you could recruit some big football players. BTW, you know Andrew Edeburn? - friend of mine.

Aight, Peace.

Infinity's

This is a P.S. to the last post, forgot to answer.

My friend's brother, who has a $4000 audio rig in his car (He works at Circuit City) has 2 Kappa 12"'s. They sound frickin incredible. If you have the money, get em'. I think Edeburn's got some MTX's in his 2000GT, his car's phat, but at least you can make fun of his subs.

Edeburn

Yeah, I know who Andrew is. We played some sports together and I see him now and then. His car is tight, but I have never heard his sub, so I'm assuming that if I can't hear it, it sucks. Anyways, thanks for the heads up on Carl's Stereo. Sue his *** until you get a new max!!!!

about the gas pedal sticking, try taking some graphite or WD-40 and lubricate the throttle cable on top of the engine.. make sure the little rubber dust boot is still there and in good shape.. if not, it may be time to take a trip to the nissan dealer to find out if you can get a new one.

You probably have carbon buildup around the edges of the throttle blade and on the surrounding intake walls. I've had to clean mine several times. Just reomve the rubber intake tube from the inlet of the throttle body. Open the throttle with you fingers and dampen a rag with carb cleaner and wipe the carbon from the throttle blade and throttle body walls.

I wouldn't use carb cleaner.. it's too harsh for modern day throttle bodies, which have a special coating on them. Use an intake throttle body cleaner instead.

Also check the slack/tension on the throttle cable wire. If it's too loose, lessen the slack. Loosen the lock nut and adjusting nut and adjust the slack accordingly, then tighten the lock/slack nuts.
