1990 Stock Maxima...

Hey everyone, I just got a 1990 Maxima with about 188K on it, Totaly stock with exception of the 6x9's in the rear deck and the AIwa CD player. I've only drove it a couple times as of this post and it seems to drive pretty good. BUT I would like to make it go a little bit faster...not The Fast and the Furious kinda stuff(not right now anyways...not enough$$) any suggestions on some semi-cheap mods and upgrades? Any input would be greatly appreaceated. Thanks

P.S.
Ok... Stupid Question
How do I tell if my car is a GXE SE Ect...???
You'll have to excuse my ignorance, I'm new to Maximas

My 89 Max has 190,000 miles on it and I don't have any money for mods right now either. The good news is that I thought of a modification that is guaranteed to make me go faster and save money. You can't go wrong with an improved power to weight ratio... I figure if I eat less I'll lose 35 lbs, save money and my 1/4 mi times will go down by .001 second.

The most simple and common way to tell is by the white gauges.
