Oh you flipped the bike? Nice work. Even though you spent most of it, at least you didn't spend ALL of it. You got a free vacation out of the deal!

Well, most of the interior has always been black. Just the carpet, seat belts, headliner and rear deck were tan. Most of which will be replaced, but I might keep the tan rear deck, I have all the parts I need, just not quite ready to install everything. Technically i'm doing an interior swap, but there's a little more too it

I can feel your pain Ben. But look at the bright side, if you fix everything, you basically have a new car.

I put the truck in the shop for a couple days for a small rust problem then Line-X (came out sweet) and wouldn't you know..got home from a trip to the store with the Maxima and encountered the sweet smell of anti-freeze. Put the car in the garage and .....the sweet sight of steam from under the hood. One of the intake coolant hose nipples developed a crack. I am hoping JB Weld holds until fall. I plan on pulling the heads this winter anyway so I can fix it properly then.

just put teh belt in; found a bolt loose (actually, laying on the control arm...), one of the three from the power steering pump.
perhaps it fell out, got jammed in the PS pulley, and caused the belt to spin on the crank.
anyway, it's all back together, now.
and I hate dealing with the AC tensioner, so I just left that belt off.

more woes.
Wednesday night, got a flat tire, which is fine, had a spare. looks like I picked up a nail.
Thursday morning, still have the spare on, check the tire pressures before going to work.
on the way home, ANOTHER tire goes out.
Thankfully, I have an old set of rims with "almost tires" that hold air. called my brother to bring one to me.
looks like the valve stem broke.
my car hates me.
Wonder if it has to do with the sc400 I just picked up...

Damn does having the ve 5 make that much of a difference in gas mileage? I wish mine was a 5 speed but I have the auto and usually get about 25 mpg highway.

I still think that is very good for a 1992 v6 but could there be something else robbing my mileage?

sc400 is v8, nub.
sc300 is i6.
no v6 option.
of course, it was a $400 car, so I am not sure what the max is mad about.

oh, and she is about to roll over to 260,000!

pair of stoners were moving to a different state.
car needs maintenance that was missed for the past 80k+ miles taken care of; plugs, wires, caps, rotors, t-belt, acc. belt, susp. bushings.
pulled one of the dizzy caps off, the rotor was cracked everywhere, haven't taken the other dizzy cap off to look in it, yet.
(yes, two caps, two rotors, two distributors, two coils. V8)
