Yellow or green injectors interchangeable?

I CALLED my dealer today to find out what injectors my car has based on my VIN and he said yellow or green and lists the price at $154 each. Are the colors interchangeable? Can I mix yellow dot with green dot injectors because the parts guy said he thinks I can use either or. I pulled the plug off 2 of my injectors and I cant make out what color they are.

The Maxima VG30E injectors have pink top injectors while VE30DE Maximas have red tops. But the VG30E injectors also have color dots on the connectors that represents their spray pattern.

It is recommended to have the same color dots on all 6 cylinders. Although I haven't heard what would happen if they were mixed.... Try the other 4 injectors to see if you can get the color dot. Worst case scenario is a 50/50 chance of getting the right injector.

I think you can mix blue & black, not anything else. You feel a big difference if you use the wrong 1. Displaying 1 to 11 (of 11 products)

Dont mix the injectors!!! I did this not knowing the outcome. I originally got some replacement injectors for the vg engine from the junkyard. They looked good and they had the same oval top as my injectors and they were green dot. If I had known better I would have just gotten all six on the rail. So when one of mine finially did give out or I just got tired of it acting up I attempted to replace it with the JY one. To make a long story short, I installed two of the green dot injectors, My original injectors are all yellow. So when this mixture was put bak togather, the car cranked and ran fine. But when I drove it, there was a noticeable power loss. Its like the 2 injectors kicked in at different times, and were not all on the same page! So I had to go back in there and take those two injectors out. Dont mix them.
