I am surprised MrGone shows his face in the 3rd gen section. Starting to miss having one, are you?

Na I just saw the commercial on TV today. There was a nice Sapphire blue VE last month for $800 or so (or maybe it was $1300? I forget) and it said it needed an alternator, I was tempted to buy but between the broken arms and not really having room, I passed on it. I think I even have a spare VE alt in the garage still. I love the cars but I think the only way I'd buy one is if it was an extremely low miles VE 5spd.

I've been tempted to pick up another E46 that is worse for wear for a track car but that is still a chunk of money I can put into my Mustang instead.

And why did they have to use a VG for this! Why not a loud clacking, oil leaking VE that's going to blow up soon anyway?:

I saw this on TV as well as the post but I watched it again just for grins and giggles and this time I had my brain engaged.

Then the car first drives up and is getting beat on the hood, the car looks like any 3rd gen. But at the end of the commercial, the car has an antenna on the passenger front fender.

There is a person in film production called a "Continuity Editor" that is supposed to make sure that all details are consistant from beginning to end. Like wearing the same clothes in a scene, holding the same object and in the same hand - stuff like that. This commercial is a fail for that moron.

Good call. The 3rd gen should have been excluded as a candidate for this commercial simply because of the stock antenna location.
