gauge cluster

me and a buddy were at the junk yard yesterday and there was a max with white gauges... mine had the black and i really like the white so we took everything apart and took just the 3 gauges the one with the fuel/temp, the mph and the rpm. took mine apart and replaced it with the white along with some bulbs, the rpm one sat a bit high because it had a little design on the back so we hand to shave down a little plastic to make it sit flush. it looks great but my only problem is that the rpm gauge now shows that it idles at 1.5 and used to be at about 750-900 range.....its not the engine because it still runs smooth.... it redlines now at like 7300 ahhaha, anyways it looks a bit odd and i was wondering if there is anyway of ajusting that needle so it sits at the correct rpm range?

thanks
sorry for rambling

it would of been easier to replace the "whole" cluster, that is what I did.

yeah you could have just swapped the whole cluster, and just rolled the SE's odometer or just put your GXE odometer into the SE cluster
