Well that blows, hopefully you can work something out. In the end though, floor mats are floor mats. They're meant to be used and abused, so a good used set is where it's at for regular use.

One of these days I'll take some pics and show everyone what I have. Either that, or actually finish the car. Problem is, it's been totaled twice, and ideally I should probably get one that's never been in an accident, very hard to find a worthy replacement though.

i got some foglights...euro style
these are the red lights from the funky euro bumper

Name: DSC01034.jpg
Views: 313
Size: 33.7 KB

as you can see, only one of them is actually a light (LH) while the other is simply a dummy light. must be a euro thing? the one with the bulb is almost exactly like the front bumper signals.

Name: DSC01035.jpg
Views: 366
Size: 38.6 KB

im guessing the RH one is the same thing that comes in the au/nz rear bumpers, just on both sides. it might be possible to remove the cover on the dummy light, i would probably need a heatgun. if it does come off there looks like there might be enough room to mount some LEDs?

Name: DSC01038.jpg
Views: 330
Size: 44.3 KB

i was hoping to put 1157s in them like i did to the front bumper signals..but I doubt ill do that since only one of them has the room. I *think* it would be possible to use 2 LH assemblys, just one upside down for the right side. but the lenses are also contoured (top sticks out further than the bottom) so if the cover will come off the dummy light that would be perfect

edit: after looking at some pictures it seems that a LHD maxima has the fog light on the LH side, a RHD maxima has the fog on the RH side...so it would be possible to get a pair of these with bulbs in both

You would need more than the switch itself, you need an antenna with half mast capability. I have seen half mast switches for sale from A32 cefiros. so if you can acquire a switch and antenna from one of those youll have it made

The rear fog switch I posted earlier is not from a Maxima. Here is the switch from the maxima, along with the headlamp wiper switch, these go in the center console..

So I finallllllly got one of the older style grills. Its not in the best shape, nor does it have the emblem you're used to seeing it with. I bought another one with the correct logo so sometime I can show that too.

GreenMax: the bumper came from Australia. You can get one the same way myself and other members have gotten NZ corners/grills over the past couple years: by talking to someone on the 'other' forum. It used to be maximasdownunder.org but I think its altimaxima.org now.

heres the formula

figure out what you want.
figure out where in the world it exists.
find it for sale there. the internet is your friend.
find/know someone there whos willing to get it/send it to you,
or willing to let you ship it to them/send it to you.
pay said person for parts+shipping costs+something extra.
own cool parts.

its usually either someone willing to go to the junkyard for me or someone parting out a 3G. But when someone asks "where did you get that" its not something I can really answer, because everything is a unique transaction. Im not getting any of those parts from people who have these parts stockpiled or "in stock" so telling "where" I got them won't really help you

hopefully this will help some of you that are looking for this stuff...?

I take it you plan on acquiring the bumper then? theres also another picture of Stus car when it was baby blue, looks like he added something to the rear bumper to fill the gap the kit leaves around the license plate

It might be possible to make something out of the dummy reflectors, alhough probably only a small LED array, and no, its not gonna look as good.

the thing about the rear foglights, is that you dont have to exclusively look for them from a j30 maxima. they are the same rear fogs used in (EURO) z32 300zx, k10 micras, c23 serena, etc. Basically any early 90s nissan that you can find in europe will 'most likely' work...Ive seen other rear fogs for sale and compared 'numbers'(markings on the face) and indeed they are the same part

This might be the holy grail of rare global parts, Chrome translates the site nicely:
http://nissan-cat.ru/index.php?s=&&a...t&dirmodel=079

I noticed not only all the part numbers for the headlight wipers, but also a headlight leveling switch, and a seat warmer switch.

a couple years ago a member from Norway posted about a pair of the height adjustable headlights.. http://forums.maxima.org/3rd-generat...djustment.html

there are also some rare jdm options I have seen in my searching:
besides the half mast antenna & switch, the jdm 3G had the option of a parking pole, an air purifier that sat on the rear deck, and even a lip spoiler that looks much like the q45 spoiler, without the third brake light

sooooooooooooo....when I first started this thread I got a little flak about the title 'most rarest' because the things I had posted werent very rare at all, and rightfully so. a newstyle overseas grill and nz corners are easily acquireable and came on every new NZ model third gen. even UK corners and a UK hazard switch are not rare because, they came on every UK/European model third gen. albeit, there arent too many americans that own those parts. and although I still dont have anything extremely "rare" to show yet, I promise the things Ill show from here on out will only get better, mainly because Ive already gotten the more 'common' parts, leaving only the 'hard to find' things left (still not necessarily "rare")

so without further ado...
EDM headlamp wipers

theyre not supposed to be chrome the black paint has just faded, they do say "NISSAN" on top of the wiper arms..
Name: DSC01448_zpsb17ca654.jpg

they bolt right up to these slots underneath the headlight

Name: DSC01447_zpsc3ff71c1.jpg
Views: 375
Size: 137.9 KB

but as you can see from this picture, they wont work with stock usdm headlights, or even my ebay clears, because of the nipples on the headlight glass. although I knew this before they arrived..

unfortunately, for a clean install I need to track down the grommets, also there is a pump that comes with the setup (for the spray part, they spray and wipe)

Now this definately was not easy to track down, they came standard (according to the brochure) in early UK models, and it was available in the northern parts of Europe, but only certain places got the option of front heated seats...finally got a hold of the switches

these go where the coin holder/sonar suspension switch goes

a big ol box that came straight from japan was at my door when I got home today

this might be 'the most rarest' jdm sport grill

also got a parking pole switch, (not from 3G)

and last but not least this JDM brochure..which isnt really that cool and wouldve been a huge waste of money to have shipped directly from japan, if it didnt come with a 2 page foldout entitled "optional parts"

The grill is cool. Is it the same exact shape as a Aus/NZ grill, but with that round badge? Mine looks the same, just has a hamburger.

You need a new bumper cover, though. That crack just draws my eye.

cliff: yes the grill body is the same, only difference is the emblem. but this is the only one ive even seen...since I bought that jdm brochure I can find pictures of this grill in there, but throughout all my searching this is the only one I found. it seems the majority of JDM models use the chrome 92-94 grille with the other oval maxima embem.

hectic: I only have a few things in mind left to show, I promise our girlfriends are not twins..
