O/D in town? also trans cooler question..
hey guys,
i am pretty sure you get more torqe or horse with the o/d off, or at least it seems to accelerate a bit quicker. just wondering i live in town and was wondering if it is ok to leave this off while in town driving esp. for "sporty" intown driving. what effect will it have on my gas mileage? will it hurt the tranny? i know on the interstate, etc. o/d is a must but....? also are the tranny coolers from auto zone, pep boys etc. effective? i heard tranny coolers are a good idea on our cars because of the somewhat "delicate" transmission. i would gett a small one since i live in a colder area (IL). thanks guys!

i read it, but was curious about my other question, and was also wondering about the quality of the cheaper one and how much cold climate would affect it. i didnt see these issues addressed in the stickies.however, maybe i missed it? thanks for helping me tho.
