Help, help, help!

93 SE-- locked when I went into the big city, unlocked d/s door, wouldn't start. pulled security fuse in panel, started. got back to work and the auto seatbelt wouldn't retract. "uh-oh". Tried unlocking trunk, unlocking pass side door, disconnecting battery (is there a certain amount of time that takes?) and would disconnect the system under the dash but don't have the right size socket and they're too tight for a screwdriver!!! Anyone?? please, please!

Okay so wait what exactly is the problem?

Is it just your seatbelt won't retract or that your car won't start?

your gonna have to disconnect from under the dash. Sounds like the stupid security sys is acting up. I use to have issues with starting mine until I disconnected the lil box.

The latest--

Messed with the thing for an hour after work, finally figured out I have EITHER a sh***y positive battery connection or a bad battery. After taking the dash off and unplugging the security system. So thanks for the help anyway, guys!!

Well at least you found you narrowed it down to that instead of it being anything.

Yeah, it was weird that it was intermittent though... I think it might be time for a new battery... the one that's in there has a cloth carry strap... methinks that dates it a bit. And the positive terminal turns when you wiggle the positive wiring... no good.
