Thanks for everything and farewell.

Just wanted to thank the people on the forum who helped me solve some of the mechanical issues I had with my Maxima. Last night someone stole my car and I'm not counting on getting it back. just had the exhaust manifold resurfaced and had the studs replaced too. I finally had the car running right and now its gone. Within the past year I had $3400 in repairs/maintenance and $1400 in audio equipment. I hate thieves.

really, there isn't, but thieves will steal anything they can get their grubby little hands on.
I hear more about cars being broken into, and their cheap jvc tape players getting jacked than cars with nice radios, for example.

Really sorry about your car, man. best advice I can offer is keep an eye on craigslist for a while for parts that look like yours.

Damn bro, so sorry to hear that! Where are you located? Did they steal it on the street or was it in the garage? My friends SI was stolen from inside his garage during the day, Crazy.

more likely demand in his $1400 stereo.

cost of theft insurance would quickly out weigh value of the car

Yeah this is true! I'm definitely not getting theft coverage but I can't deny that the thought briefly crossed my mind after I first read this haha. I have some new stereo equipment but the only thing that shows is my new head unit

It was probably most likely the audio system. I didn't have subs and tried my best not to advertise. The car was stolen out of my apartment complex right in front of my apartment and I'm located on the end of a dead end culdesac. The car was stollen between 9:30 p.m. and 3:30 a.m. in Milton, WA. I had a Kenwood deck, JL Audio amplifier under the passenger seat, and Morel speakers in front and back. I always detached the face plate on the deck, but they probably figured it was worth a gamble to take the car. I Should have had the club or something to at least make them think twice.

On the plus side, I test drove some Infinities today, the G35 and G37 and am highly considering one. I will be watching craigslist guaranteed.

It would take a lot of restraint on my part to keep from harming someone who stole my car or stole anything from my car. I'm a peaceful person and against violence in most cases, but messing with my pride and joy would be like playing with a live grenade.

I definitely don't think you should just give up trying to find it. Check craigslist all over your region (crazedlist.org). Make a craigslist posting telling people to be on the look out. Harass the cops all you can to see what they can do. That's a lot of money down the drain, for future reference, theft and vandalism coverage is a must. It doesn't add all that much more to your premiums.

Dam, I'm sorry to hear that. When I was in high school my Maxima got broken into and when I took my 91 camry, it got stolen but luckily found it a few blocks from my school. They took my deck and my zune from the Maxima and luckily they didn't know how to pop the trunk, where I had 2 JL's in.

Your located in WA? What color is your Maxima? I could keep an eye out for you if it comes around the Seattle area.

real bummer about the car. I hope you gave all the info to the police. I would say odds are pretty good that you might get the car back, minus the stereo equipment and wheels (if you had nice ones). I know several people that had cars stolen and with 10 days the cops found the car, usually without certain parts. You don't have a Honda, so I don't think a full strip would be likely.

You might want to post on the NW forum www.nwnissaninfiniti.com to keep their eyes out. Most of us know these cars pretty well and if you have pictures, it might really help your cause.
