Problems I had while replacing knock sensor (VE)

It's my first time doing this thing. So I've been working for a total of 12 hours now and I encountered a couple of stuff.
1. Does the KS connector only have 1 pin (KS to connector)?
2. Are the PCV hoses behind the IM really hard and not flexible?
3. Can I replace the brake vacuum hose with a hose of the same size but not the OEM part itself?
4. Are OEM fuel hoses different than cut to length hoses?
5. The connector for the smaller coolant temp sensor (flat connector) near the thermostat assembly is broken can I just hook the wire to the flat metal and put a heat shrink on it?

1. Yes and I recommend replacing the sub-harness
2. only if its old
3.Yes
4. Yes because they are already pre-cut
5. Just go to the jy and snip another one and solder it on. Thats what I did.
