Rocker Panels Weld

Rocker Panels Weld

Has anyone here welded on new rocker panels?

Did you have to weld an entire line the length of the panel, or are there specific spots to do, then use that goop stuff to seal the rest.

Also, where is a good cheap place to buy replacement panels?

Best bet is finding good set in the junkyard and cutting out and welding into yours.

Rust? I remember an old thread where someone patched rusted sections. End product looked good.

I think Michael posted a thread on it years and years ago. Would be surprised if the pictures still worked, though. At one point his username was 'awsm66' and then he changed it to "Michael", so you could search both of those usernames. That guy was the man when it came to this type of stuff

i thought there was a seam around midway on the rear door (well toward the rear, not exactly mid way)
