FSTB questions

I'm about to buy one of these off of custommaxima.com, but his website said that they are only made to fit 1990-1999. Is this true? If it is, what are my other options.

Well, seeing how you have an '89 GXE, I don't see what problem you could possibly have since AFAIK there weren't any changes to note between '89 and later years. It's not like that problem the 4th Gen guys have with their '99 Maximas. I think that's just a typo since I don't think Greg(?) has a 3rd Gen. (To tell the truth, I think he really should say 89-98 since the 99s have a bracket that gets in the way.)

Anyone else?

I dunno, I know lots of 99 owners have just sawed it off or bent it out of the way in a fit of unbridled rage, but I can't remember if it even does anything on the 5th Gens, who are the reason it's there. Could be just for some piece of hardware for use in Europe or Japan, that's what I would guess.

I think your home forum would know better though
