On the subject…

How do you determine whether or not you NEED to replace your wires??? I haven't had my car for a year yet, and I've considered replacing them, but I don't want to if I don't have to. I don't know what the previous owner did, engine-wise, with this car, so I'm leaning toward replacement. BTW - Does anybody know who makes relatively inexpensive (under $100) RED wires to fit our cars?

Also, I know I should get the NGK plugs, but what's the difference between a hot plug and a cold plug, and which should I consider getting? If the climate matters, then sunny SoCal is where I live and play at...

Thanks for the help in advance. I'm going to check through the search function as well.

stay with the OEM NGK plugs.
Unless you're running NOS or boost, or are having engine problems, then stay with the regular temperature plugs.

Vitek makes good wires, but there's no telling who's the "BEST". just buy some good aftermarket stuff, and you probably won't be able to tell which set are better unless you're running tons of mods with an aftermarket ignition system also.

I agree to stay with the oens you can pick up at the dealer. There are really no gains you can get in the plugs alone so going with ones that have been time proven are a good choice.
