No Heat!!!!

i was wondering why my temp gauge kept dropping to the bar then rising sometimes and repeating this process. so i went and got a new thermostat and gasket and replaced it. my heat was great for about an hour then the problem started all over again. is it the temperature switch gone bad? i am going to flush my radiator soon but dont have the cash right now. also to all of you who have done your thermostat congrats on making a big mess like i did!!

could be ure radiator cap is stuck open and isnt keeping pressure, causing it to overheat, is ure fan constantly on? if so u mihgt have a stuck relay, causing it to cool off so much. i have problems with my heat too, but no noticeable temp changes, so i think mine is the motor that regulates the ammt of fluid going to the core. could be that too............

, causing it to overheat

my car is not overheating, i am having cold to luke warm air come out. like i said it was hot after i installed the new thermostat. my thermostat just goes from the bar to normal then just drops to the bar again and repeats it. im going to get a radiator cap tommoro when i pick up my washer lights. then if that doesnt help i might try the temp sensor. what do you guys think?

Re: No Heat!!!!

You might need to bleed the air out of the system. I had the same problem and that was the problem. You need to raise the front of the vehicle up to a 45 degree angle to do it properly. The bleeder is on top of the intake. My friend had the same problem too. We bled the system and still no love. His little door under the dash was stuck closed. We disconnected the rod from it and tied it open and BAM. heat again. Hope this helps, good luck
