thinking of buying a cd player

Sup everyone,

I'm in the market of buying a cd player for my 1992 Nissan Maxima Se 5-Speed equipped with the factory Bose system. I was wondering if I would be able to put in an Alpine Cd-player. the reason i am asking this is because I was told that this could possibly hinder my factory bose speakers performance. Any suggestions would be greatly appreicated. I also was wondering if i should get the CD/Cass. bose units from the newer nissan maxima's.

thanks everyone,
d-sta

Depends somewhat on the condition of your Bose speakers & amps. I'd just had the rear amps rebuilt when the old head unit went out, so I put in a CD/cass unit from a '95. You need to make an adaptor harness (easy), but it works & sounds great.

Just my $.02

good idea...umm, i never heard of any negative effects from the amps, but i dono. i know that when i got a new HU i have to put the setting on it to like +10 front cause the rear speakers are being amplified again from the factory speakers, i think i'm just gonna bypass them soon or get a new amp for the rear and front, i dono...good luck though.

depend how much you wana spend

If you got $200 you can buy my old clarion, Im only selling it because I bought a different Clarion deck, I used it for like 3 months
all you need is 3 adaptors @ like $5-$10 each.
