What Is This Wiring For?

These two wiring components are loose, and I'm wondering what they are use for. Thanks, BA.

Factory wise, it doesn't belong to anything AFAIK. By any chance you know if it has an aftermarket alarm installed?

Thanks For Your Reply

I'm not sure about there being an after market security system, in that I just bought the car from a friend of a friend.
The car does have surprises under the hood, given to one and their southern engineering.

Looks like a generic relay fused with a link instead of an inline fuse, and badly placed where water can easily get to it.

Looks like some 'engineering' on the fan circuit. At least they gave it a fuse.

Thanks For Everyone's Help

The prior owner had wired this thing to the fan and to the battery.

I've got one like that, except it runs from what I can only assume is my ignition, to a relay, then on to the starter.

Perhaps a bypass because the car wouldn't start otherwise is my guess. Looking at the clutch safety switch wire, its chewed up, no doubt that'd be a good cause. The car starts with the clutch pedal pressed or not.

Worked in my favor when the clutch went out on me!
