Hi all,

Sorry for the newbie question, but I found some decent rims real cheap, theyre 5x115 bolt pattern and the guy at the tire store said they would fit, but I got the impresion that he was blindly saying yes to all my quesions (a real sheister anyway) When I went to tirerack.com all the rims they listed for it were 5x114.3, so could this guy be right, will the 5x115 really fit?

I don't think they will either. There's a reason they're separately categorized into 114.3 and 115, even though the difference seems minimal.

BTW, if you were searching on Tirerack's site, then it probably would've shown you just wheels for YOUR car right? Because on Tirerack there's no way to "search by wheel size", only search by vehicle. They probably DO have 5x115 wheels, you just didn't see any.

I wouldn't chance it.

 

what kinda wheels are they?

often times, people will just say they're 5x115 or 5x114, when they actually mean the 5x114.3, so who knows.
check to find out exactly what they are.
115 won't be a good idea. they'd bolt on easily, but it will stress the wheel studs and possibly break them shortly after installation.
