Looks nice!

I had a 94 GLE and really liked that car. It got totaled in an accident. Wish I still had it, though.

wat. no such car ever existed. 3rd gen only had GXE (with or without BOSE, the latter being called Brougham in Canada) and SE.

yes i do have the se with stock bose speakers. I took off the fog lights cause they were not working. Thus, it may look like a gxe

GXE also had chrome window/grille/taillight trim, and body-colored mirrors, in addition to the lack of fogs, and lack of spoiler. A de-fogged SE still looks like an SE to me.

yea the GXE fogs were small tho. Was the spoiler you saw on a GXE the same or different? And I didn't mention the gauges b/c it isn't an external feature (tho neither is BOSE and I did mention that )

A telltale sign of a GXE with spoiler over an SE would be the third brake light in the rear window in addition to the one on the spoiler. SE's only had the one in the spoiler.

.. wait what? what are you removing rust from?

also, being a 92-94, you can be ultra-sure yours is an SE because you have a DOHC engine

ok so how do you expect "hooking up a battery" to fix that rust? short circuiting it against the sheet metal of the car? That might get you seriously injured, or killed....

Electrolysis requires submersion in a bath of some solution that has chemicals in it, and something to trade the rust with (hunk of steel?).... you can't dunk your whole car.

She looks good and you have the VE motor which also makes it an SE model. The Magnaflow cat is the only worth buying. Warpspeed makes some good exhaust parts for the 3rdgen. Some nice aftermarket wheels look dope on the 3G.

Would anyone like to post a picture of their maxima? Just so I can get a general idea of what all y'all have done to your cars. Any generation is fine , but preferably a 3rd generation.

Thanks!

i have old ones of my ghetto bucket, only things i did on it are front strut bar, Ksport GT springs, CF wrapped the trunk center light, Warpspeed Y-pipe, MES full mandrel exhaust, Sparco front seats, rear harness bar, Euro headlights, and K&N air filter

when it was a bit low, went down another inch a week after this and tucked tire all around

Hello! Does a holset he351 make sense for my 3rd Gen maxima? What companies are reliable? How much does a turbo installation cost?

Yes makes sense I am running one. All depends how much fab work you can do yourself. I have around 2k in my setup plus $600 in my clutch

price depends because for a VE you need to do alot of custom work, VG you can at least use some parts from Z31 VG30ET but VE youre all on your own

a lot, because the fact that you have to ask, mea you aren't doing any of the work yourself.

first of all the VE is a higher compression engine so you're going to have to play it fairly conservative unless you swap in some different pistons that have a dished shape to lower the compression ratio.

second of all, all of the exhaust and intake piping has to be 100% custom because the port shapes between VG and VE don't match up so you will limit your potential by using z31 parts. Maybe a pair of z32 manifolds with a custom merge pipe + turbo flange will work though, because the ports look more similar.

third your VE might not have an oil feed tap like the VG does, so you'll have to figure that out in addition to your return line, and your coolant lines also.

fourth, before you make the car accelerate better, make sure it can turn better and stop better. Speed is good. Uncontrollable speed is bad.

Here is my list of priorities for the car.
-Save some money
-go to local performance shop to evaluate car. (turn in concepts if ur in cnci)
-buy cold air intake, air flow adapter, and a 40 series flowmaster muffler. perhaps an exhaust tip too
-save money
- get a magnaflow cat
- save money
-rims and cosmetics
-upgrade suspension( new shock absorbers etc) and get new brakes

look for a turbo
